The Ron & Corie Zenner Clan

Wow, what a fun day we had with the little Zenner's. Word has it that some of them got a little soaked. Water pistols were the main attraction until the sprinkler came out. Remember how it felt on a hot sticky day to run through the sprinkler, or stand over it and let it spray your butt? Ahhh, the coolness of it all. Even Ron and Sheila got into the game.

Emma is a little too young to play in the sprinkler but she still had a good time playing with mom.

Tyler wasn't interested in running through
the sprinkler but he sure did like the smores!

Mystery Guests

The bistro has been extremely busy these last couple of weeks with some very important people. So important in fact, they shall remain nameless. We were sworn to secrecy to protect their privacy. If others found out their identity they would flock to the bistro in hopes of touching something that they may have touched, sit on something that they may have sat on, or perhaps try to pillage the bistro in hopes of getting the glass that they drank out of. There were a few paparazzi that arrived later in the evening but as you can tell the photo is not very revealing. Someday, when their popularity has worn off we may be able to share with the world who they were and just why they honored the SchierZenn Bistro with their presence, but for now, this is the way it has to be.

Bistro Virgins

The Bistro was quite busy this past weekend! The usual crowd was present on Friday night but Saturday evening brought Bistro virgins to the Canadian establishment. They ordered one of the favorites at the Bistro that has in a way become the Bistro's signature dish. Carne Asada with Apple Poblano Slaw and brown Jasmine rice. The featured dessert was brought by one of the virgins and was competely organic in keeping with the healthy food that is a must at the Bistro. (Word has it that one of the owners could die if fed the wrong mixture of ingredients.)
Other weekend visitors to the Bistro were Norm's dad who was just released from the hospital this week after a nasty fall where upon he fractured his hip. Rumor has it he fell right on top of his wife after a very ardous chase around the dining room table. I guess she had the last laugh though, she escaped unscathed. Marge's sister was in town to help her mom and dad settle in after the long hospital stay of Marge's dad. Unfortunately, they did not call ahead and had to sit on the less than desirable front lawn of the Bistro which is lovely but just not the same as the seating with the scenic view in the back.

SchierZenn Bistro, does it live up to the hype?

WEDNESDAY, July 30, 2008, 11:07 a.m.By Richard Parker

The Canadian Bistro which operates under the name SchierZenn has recently come under attack for being too interested in their image and not delivering on promises of good food and quality service. Complaints have centered around the Maitre’d/manager Marge and her partner Norm. It is difficult to discern who is actually Marge and who is Norm. It seems at times that both are Marge as are many of their guests. This is quite confusing and may be a result of the Chardonnay which is never in short supply. Another criticism is the shade in the bathroom which doesn’t fit the window properly and the splashyness of the new vessel sink. The most outrageous offense seems to be the lack of processed food stuff which seems nonexistent at this little Canadian eatery.

I personally have eaten at the bistro and found none of these vicious (not Mary) rumors to be true. Marge and Marge are always quite hospitable and the bathroom is always clean, well stocked, shaded nicely, and the toilet paper in the proper over-the-top method. The food is high-quality and the preparation seamless. The chardonnay that flows from their faucet (the fancy bathroom one), is never too sweet or too warm and is always served in a one of a kind priceless glass made by blind Chartreusian monks. If that’s not enough…Marge is often quoted as saying that breaks of these extraordinary glasses will go unpunished as that will allow them to go on another adventure to obtain a new glass and who knows the next one could be the cup of Jesus. It is my humble opinion that the opponents of The SchierZenn Bistro are envious of this little Canadian Gem, do not want anyone to have fun, have poor judgment and smell bad…or my name isn’t …..Richard F. Parker.

If the torch is lit, the Bistro is open and all are welcome.

In more recent news regarding the SchierZenn Bistro, authorities announced this morning that the Canadian Gem has been laundering money to fund an illegal treehouse racket through an accomplice some allege is the son of Norm Marge. It seems there is more than meets the eye behind their so called chardonnay faucet.
